Abstrakt. Some aspects of ethnological investigations in the scientific work of the doctor of art studies, Olena Nykorak, are analyzed. In particular, those works of the scientist are analyzed, in which for the first time the important issues of the Ukrainian national culture are touched upon ethnographic peculiarities. It emphasizes the importance of its research, in which the development of cultural elements is presented in synchronous and diachronic sections, the polyfunctionality of objects of folk culture, their semiotic meanings depending on the concrete use is considered.
