Abstract. The work highlights the history of the creation and development of the art project «Let’s Save the Treasures Together!», initiated and led by Valeriy Tverdokhlib, a restorer of the Ivano-Frankivsk Museum of Local Lore.
The project was initiated over fifteen years ago.
The process of transforming the art project from an initiative to restore sacred works from the collection of a local history museum at the expense of benefactors to the unification under its auspices of a number of individual creative initiatives that have a certain resonance in the modern Ukrainian socio-cultural space is traced. The author claims that the combination of such multi-genre and multicultural practices as exhibitions of sacred works and photographs, performances, installations, video art, competitions, murals, inclusive projects, etc. determines the relevance and importance of the project. The deployment and implementation of various creative initiatives within the project, the involvement of patrons, artists, photographers, designers and restorers, undoubtedly embodies the main goal, which is the preservation and popularization of the national cultural heritage, which is especially acute in the context of full-scale Russian aggression against Ukraine.
The article emphasizes that the experience gained by the organizers and participants of the project «Let’s Save the Treasures Together!» can serve as a model for implementing similar initiatives, where active communication and interaction between different segments of civil society take place. The researcher concludes that each of the exhibitions and events within the project «Let’s Save the Treasures Together!» contributes to the involvement of a wide range of interested and caring people, obtaining unique experiences of interaction with art, directly activating cognitive abilities, forming new culture-oriented connections between individuals, communities, social institutions, within public organizations, etc.
The research methodology is based on the principles of systematicity and objectivity.
