Abstract. Introduction. The article examines the peculiarities of children’s perception of digital content and its role as visual information in the modern educational environment, highlighting the study’s relevance. In the context of active digitalization, electronic and interactive forms of presenting learning materials are increasingly used as effective tools for education and development, supporting cognitive interest among primary school students. The paper also analyzes the structure and classification of interactive electronic books, considering pedagogical and psychological aspects.

Problem Statement. The rapid growth of digital educational resources requires effective approaches to designing interactive learning materials for children, considering age-related features of perception and the educational value of multimedia elements.

Purpose. The study aims to develop a graphic concept for the interactive electronic book «Journey through Slobozhanshchyna», designed for schoolchildren with consideration of age-specific information perception and modern digital design principles.

Methods. Research methods include analysis of scientific sources in pedagogy, psychology, and digital design; generalization of theoretical approaches to interactive learning content; and application of UX/UI design principles to develop the book’s graphic structure.

Results. The study focuses on the national and cultural component of Slobozhanshchyna as the conceptual basis of the electronic publication. Attention is given to adapting illustrations, color palette, composition, and interface elements to children’s perception. The results demonstrate the pedagogical potential of using an interactive electronic book in the New Ukrainian School.

Conclusion. The findings highlight the importance of harmoniously combining artistic, pedagogical, and technological components in creating digital educational products for children, contributing to visual thinking development and fostering students’ interest in cultural heritage.

Keywords: interactive e-book; children’s perception; illustration; UX/UI design; cultural heritage; pedagogy; digital content.
