TOVSTE — THE ORIGINAL CENTRE OF PODOLIAN POTTERY

Abstrakt. The article is devoted to the pottery of one of the original centres of Podillya — Tovste. The history of the pottery craft in the centre is considered, assortment of products, shape, colouring, ornamental motifs and decorative compositions are analyzed. The creativity of some potters, such as Yakym Prykarskyi, Mykhailo Lukiianovych, Stepan Kaminetskyi, Yevhen Kutsiarskyi, Vasyl Bardachevskyi, are highlighted.
