Abstract. This article analyzes the experience of individual illustrators, who are the alumni of LNAM of the XXІ century. Some similarities between the artists have been traced: high professional artistic level of depicted scenes, original and unique style and the manner of drawings execution — where there is fantastic, great fabulousness. Also some other moments are observed: equipment — manual or technical, — practically it does not effect the overall perception, level or manner, the style of illustrations execution. But still the artistic level and the experience of an artist play a crucial aspect in the approach of graphic book ornaments for children.
The research method is empirical, observation and description, theoretical, which involves analysis, abstraction, synthesis and generalization. Review of books and definition of graphic solution, description of structural and compositional elements. Analyzing excellent graphics performance and generalized conclusions.
It analyzes computer graphics used by artists to illustrate, design children’s publications, which involves the use of specially designed vector graphics programs Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator and bitmap Adobe Photoshop and similar programs and modifications.
The artistic level and experience of the artist himself remains an important aspect in the graphic design approach for children’s books. The creative activity of artists Mariana Kachmar (Flak), Christina Reinarovich, Anastasia Stefurak, Andriy Lesiv and Romana Romanishin (Creative tandem «Agrafka») is considered. The cooperation of the artists is connected with the publishing houses «Svit», «Kamenyar», «The Old Lion Publishing House». Publishers are excellent for their publishing and printing policies for children’s books. Many books have been published for children. Publishers are focusing their attention on quality printing products.
The artists’ appeal to collage techniques and the combination of copyrighted graphics with computer graphics are analyzed. There is a change in the development of the action characters. Heroes of poems, stories and fairy tales. Particularly illustrative material in contemporary book publishing for preschool and primary school children. The artist is the director of his technical and stylistic performance of drawings. Technique is great for similar applications in a children’s book, when using classical techniques and ways of creating illustrations, decoration. The manner of execution of drawings and design. The artist expresses an individual decision that comes from the technical and programmatic rigging. Artists and publishers work on a children’s book — the result of their collaboration. The results of the research can be used for educational, cognitive purposes for a wide audience and serve as a basis for further thorough research.
