Abstract. Tatyana Medvid — is the bright representative of pleiad of theatrical artists of the last quater of 20 century, that created scenographic projects in the system of graphic direction. Her compositions are personages of presentation, active participants of action, metaphorical signs that expose the idea of work. In the article investigated three theatrical design projects of Tatyana Medvid, that were created in different years, in different theaters and with different directors, but incorporated by one spatial reception, — creation of the kinetic theater installations. The relevance of the article is due to insufficient study and systematization of the scenographic work of Tatyana Medvid in the context of the development of Ukrainian scenography of the 20th century. To date, there is no scientific study of her work. The search for new senses in contemporary set design is not possible without a thorough analysis of the work of older masters who formed the visual face of theatrical performances of the late 20-th and early 21th centuries. The purpose of the study is to analyze the existence of scenographic characters in the form of a kinetic theater installation within the system of effective set design in terms of creating a visual image of the scenery, active joint action with the actors, typology of the place and time of action and the use of theatrical design. The object of study is a visual-figurative series of dramatic performance as part of a theatrical synthesis. The subject of the study are three scenographic projects by Tatiana Medvid: William Shakespeare «King Lear», director Igor Boris, Mykhailo Staritsky «For Two Hares», director Mykola Yaremkiv at Kharkiv Academic Drama Theater named after T.G. Shevchenko «Berezil» and Billy Wilder «In jazz only girls» directed by Alexander Arkadin-Shkolnik at the Donetsk Academic Ukrainian Musical and Drama Theater named after Artem. Research methodology — is to apply the method of conceptual analysis, the method of theoretical generalization.
