Abstract. Тhis article analyzes the works of this Ukrainian literary scholar, folklorist, and pioneer of Franko studies regarding Drahomanov’s activities. Тhe study substantiates the importance of Mykhailo Drahomanov’s work and highlights his significance to Mykhailo Vozniak — a fact evidenced by the substantial number of articles dedicated to the subject. It has been established that the publication and annotation of the scholar’s epistolary legacy efforts that facilitated the introduction of valuable sources into scholarly discourse occupy a significant place in his body of work. One such crucial contribution is the study titled «An Unpublished Article by M.P. Drahomanov on Folklore Literature». Thus, the academic played an important role in the preservation, publication, and scholarly interpretation of sources related to Drahomanov. The findings of this research broaden the understanding of Mykhailo Vozniak’s role in shaping the field of Drahomanov studies and highlight the enduring relevance of his scholarly work to contemporary humanities research.
The article aims to examine Mykhailo Vozniak’s long-standing research into the epistolary, publicistic, and folkloristic legacy of Mykhailo Drahomanov. The object of the study is Mykhailo Drahomanov’s work as a researcher of Ukrainian literature and folklore, while the subject is the specific ways in which Drahomanov’s scholarly activity is portrayed in Vozniak’s writings. The article’s objectives are to analyze Vozniak’s publications that address Drahomanov’s work; to characterize the scholar’s contribution to introducing Drahomanov’s epistolary legacy into scholarly discourse; and to determine the significance of Vozniak’s research for contemporary Drahomanov studies. The relevance of the study lies in the fact that, despite the significant number of studies concerning Mykhailo Drahomanov or Mykhailo Vozniak, the reception of Drahomanov’s scholarly legacy in Vozniak’s works has not been the subject of a separate, comprehensive study.
The methodological basis of the article consists of bio-bibliographical and descriptive methods.
